The minimalist chair collection ‘Crooked’ by Berlin-based designer Nazara Lázaro is based on a very simple but unique concept: the absence of 90° angles and symmetries. Each piece is created from hand-glued, planed, and treated with hard wax oil selected oak panels. All joints remain completely invisible. The use of solid oak provides a warm contrast to the angular lines. All pieces are not only available in oak, walnut, and white lacquer but can also be customized in size, wood type, or finish if needed by the customer.
Born and raised in Tenerife and currently based in Berlin, Lázaro has traveled to foreign countries throughout her life, developing a personal design language infused with the patterns and traditions of the areas she has traversed and inhabited. She seeks to transform spaces into sculptures, using her intuition to experiment with different techniques and materials. The use of 3D design also plays an important role in visualizing her ideas and driving her research on form and materiality.
