The Circ lighting collection by Nahtrang Studio, designed for the Spanish brand Estiluz, is characterized by a modern, minimalist design. The linear design language and aesthetics of the luminaires are complemented by a touch of playfulness.
The collection includes several pendant lights, a floor lamp, a wall lamp, and table lamps (with two portable versions). Flexibility is at the forefront of the Circ collection. Each lamp adapts to the specific needs of the space to be illuminated through its unique design.
The basic design element of each lamp is the spherical light body, which is made of glass. Various wrought-iron supports complement the glass sphere and thus shape the identity of the individual models. An identity based on asymmetry and balance that invites interaction. The minimalist and carefully constructed supports that hold the glass spheres create an aesthetic lightness to the lamps. The models with cable radiate dynamism and balance at the same time thanks to the contrast between lines and curves.
The collection is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, with the outdoor versions made of durable translucent polyethylene.
The industrial designers Daniel Vila and Ester Pujol are behind the designs of the Circ lamp collection. Studio Nahtrang, founded in Barcelona in 2003, builds on the strengths of the designer duo Pujol and Vila. Both designers have a wealth of experience in the fields of interior design and technical drawing. Their work reflects a preference for functional-decorative elements, often visible through the use of metal and geometric shapes.
