Monolith is a minimalist table lamp created by Mexican designer Sergio Enríquez. With its solid wood body made of oak, the lamp emits a warm light that creates an inviting atmosphere on any table surface.
The lamp is characterized by its subtle but unique silhouette. It is available in different color variants, whereby the grain of the wood is always shown to its best advantage. It therefore blends in seamlessly into various contexts.
A distinctive feature of the lamp is its lampshade, which has been machined to create a gentle curve that plays beautifully with the grain of the wood. The lamp was born from the idea to explore the intersection of the two directions of the wood grain through a triple curvature at the top of the object. In this way, Enríquez developed a natural gradient that feels inviting and gives the lamp a unique aesthetic.
Sergio Enríquez, a Mexican industrial designer specializing in furniture, lighting and everyday objects, finds his inspiration in the materials and manufacturing processes and the infinite possibilities they offer. Enríquez began his career as a designer at Joel Escalona Studio, where he designed furniture, products and customized solutions. Shortly afterward, he turned to residential projects as an interior and furniture designer. He currently works independently and collaborates with various brands and publishers. He also takes on self-initiated projects and commissions for private clients and other design studios. Furthermore, he constantly strives for a balance between the aesthetics of the materials and the manufacturing processes and is dedicated to creating durable, carefully crafted objects.
