The Hepworth Wakefield is an award-winning art gallery in Yorkshire named after the important 20th century artist Barbara Hepworth. The gallery opened in May 2011 and was designed by David Chipperfield Architects. It features major exhibitions of modern and contemporary art and is home to Wakefield’s art collection.
In addition, there are special exhibition areas dedicated to Barbara Hepworth’s art and working process. In 2019, the Hepworth Wakefield Garden was opened, one of the largest public gardens in the UK.
