The Fondation Maeght is a unique art institution located in Saint-Paul-de-Vence on the French Riviera. It was founded in 1964 by the art dealer couple Aimé and Marguerite Maeght to promote and exhibit modern and contemporary art. The building was designed by the Catalan architect Josep Lluís Sert and creates a harmonious balance between art, nature and architecture.
The foundation is known for its impressive collection of artworks by important 20th century artists, including Joan Miró, Alberto Giacometti, Georges Braque, Wassily Kandinsky, Barbara Hepworth and many others. The site includes several buildings, sculpture gardens and terraces that present the art in a natural and inspiring environment.
