In her first solo exhibition “Después del agua” at Alzueta Gallery Madrid, Antonia Ferrer presents a striking collection that captures the stillness after a storm in powerful, almost sculptural paintings.
Ferrer, known for her introspective art that turns her inner world inside out, uses monochrome hues and natural materials such as beach sand to highlight the delicacy and ephemeral, often overlooked details of life. Her works, inspired by the textures in the sand after a storm and the rocks of Cap de Creus, combine the beauty of these natural landscapes with human emotions and experiences.
Her works invite the viewer to explore the connections between the physical and the emotional, inviting reflection on imperfection and the nature of time. The exhibition in Madrid is on view until April 20 and offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in a world that is at once calm and tumultuous, and to grasp the human experience in all its complexity.
