The Phase Light Collection is a new series of luminaires designed by Estudio Persona in collaboration with Resident. Inspired by the phases of the moon, the collection is an exercise in creating harmony in the contrast between shadow and luminosity. The lamps are available as small and large pendant lights, table lamps, and wall lights and are characterized by their minimalist aesthetics and clear design language.
Contrast is at the heart of the design: between the body, available in dark bronze or bright white, and the bright LED-lit acrylic diffuser. The latter has a subtle linen structure, giving the luminaire a special texture. The result is an aesthetic balance of form and function.
The collaboration between Resident and Estudio Persona began in 2022. Both studios share the vision of creating unconventional and sculptural products with clean lines. Estudio Persona, led by Uruguayan designers Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young, has been working in Los Angeles since 2015. Their work is characterized by bold silhouettes, neutral tones and raw materials without unnecessary embellishments.
Each piece in the Phase Lighting Collection is handcrafted in New Zealand and conveys a sense of balance with its seemingly weightless shapes.
