The Portable Lamp 001, designed by Brazilian designer Guilherme Wentz, is a new luminaire that impresses with its minimalist design. Made of aluminum, the lamp is reduced to simple geometric shapes: a cylindrical lampshade meets a rectangular base, creating a balanced visual contrast. Strategically positioned LEDs create the impression of perfect geometric shapes through their reflection on the surface. Depending on the viewing angle, the lamp subtly changes its appearance, giving the static form a dynamic effect.
The lamp is part of the “Objects For Silence” series, an accessory collection by the brand WENTZ. This series aims to bring quiet moments and contemplation into the room. It invites you to celebrate personal rituals and transform the room into a place of calm and contemplation. Inspired by light and flames, Guilherme Wentz combines natural materials, a reduced aesthetic and Brazilian uniqueness to create a harmonious connection between simplicity and functionality.
Guilherme Wentz remains true to his distinctive design language, combining simplicity, functionality and Brazilian aesthetics. His designs invite you to perceive your home as a harmonious retreat. The collection reflects the designer’s contemplative spirit, drawing inspiration from nature and Brazilian craftsmanship.
I had the opportunity to interview him and talk to him about design, aesthetics and his design process. Read the interview here.
