Peter Freeman, Inc.

Peter Freeman, Inc. is a New York-based gallery specializing in 19th, 20th, and 21st century art, with a focus on early Pop, Minimal, and Conceptual art. Since its founding in 1990, the gallery has presented at least five exhibitions each year that are considered particularly relevant to the art of our time. In addition to focused group exhibitions that explore influential movements and themes, the gallery also presents solo exhibitions that highlight the rich way in which artists respond to the materials, forces, and questions of the day.

Artists with minimalist aesthetics, such as Silvia Bächli, Ernst Caramelle, and Fernanda Gomes, are an integral part of the program, which promotes dialogue between historical and contemporary works. In 2006, the gallery expanded its activities by partnering with Galerie Nelson, which became Peter Freeman, Inc., Paris in 2013.

Aesence is an independent art and design publication dedicated to minimalist aesthetics. Founded out of a deep appreciation and fascination, Aesence strives to be an inspiring, informative and truly useful resource for its readers.
