The Breeze Raw Side Table is a limited edition piece from the Breeze collection by Australian design studio Ross Gardam. The collection is characterized by its variety of designs and sizes, including not only the side table, but also a coffee table, a bar table and a dining table. The characteristic curved leg can be found throughout all the pieces and gives the collection a common identity.
Breeze explores the captivating interplay of light and shadow, expressed on its sculptural surface. With a focus on scale, weight and monolithic form, Breeze diverges from mass planar forms and dives into the subtle light play produced by the tactility and anatomy of its material elements.
The Breeze Raw Side Table is made of sheet aluminum, which is cut, bent and held together with three fasteners. This makes it possible to pack the table flat for easy transportation. The edges and flat surfaces are finished by hand and buffed to a mirror finish. At the end of the manufacturing process, the entire side table is sealed with wax to ensure its longevity.
Ross Gardam is an Australian designer from Melbourne. Guided by the philosophy “Experiential Objects that Elicit Joy & Defy Convention,” Ross leads an 8-person team of designers, engineers, and makers who create handcrafted contemporary lamps, furniture, and objects. Whether it’s a playful exploration of functionality or meticulous attention to detail, Ross’ passion for design is evident and noticeable in each of his products. The Breeze Raw Side Table reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Ross Gardam and his team put into each of their pieces.
