The exhibition “Lines Interaction” by Danish artist Carsten Beck at the Víctor Lope Arte Contemporáneo gallery in Barcelona presents a continuation of Beck’s minimalist exploration of geometric forms.
Beck, known for his non-figurative works, draws his inspiration from long walks and contemplation. Ideas for new works emerge while walking, when he discovers new routes, perspectives and perceptions of the world around him. This results in harmonious and aesthetic arrangements of rectangles, triangles and circles with which he achieves a strong transformative power. Inspired by Concrete Art, Beck’s works show an obsessive attention to detail and meticulous planning and execution.
This exhibition is the second solo show of the artist with the gallery, where he shows a curated selection of works made in 2023 and 2024.
