“City” is a unique and monumental sculpture by American land art artist Michael Heizer that has been under construction in east-central Nevada since 1970.
The sculpture was inspired by ancient ceremonial sites and its design language echoes modern urban core structures. Located in a remote valley in the high desert of the Great Basin, the project is managed by the Triple Aught Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the artwork.
The sculpture can only be accessed under strict visitor conditions as it is located on private property. Visits are limited to a few days and require prior reservation to ensure the exclusivity and preservation of the artwork.
