Date Gallery was established in Busan in 2009 to promote cultural values in the region and throughout Korea through professional and artistic exhibitions. As a leading contemporary art gallery, it is particularly dedicated to promoting and presenting the Korean Dansaekhwa movement, which has since received international attention.
In addition to annual group exhibitions presenting monochrome works in the Dansaek style, the gallery organizes exhibitions with established and emerging artists from the Korean art scene. The artists represented include Cheon Kwang Yup, Yoon Sang Yuel, Taek Sang Kim and Keun-Tai Kim.
By publishing special exhibition catalogs with critical reviews and promoting young talent, Date Gallery contributes to the development of innovative forms of artistic expression.
