The Fondation Beyeler is a leading museum for modern and contemporary art. It was founded in 1997 by the collector couple Ernst and Hildy Beyeler, who made their art collection accessible to the public. The light-flooded museum building, designed by Renzo Piano, offers a unique atmosphere. The collection comprises over 400 works by important artists, like Josef Albers, Hans Arp, Eduardo Chillida, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Giacometti, Ellsworth Kelly, Kazimir Malewitch, Piet Mondrian and many more.
The Fondation Beyeler presents changing exhibitions throughout the year. In addition, the museum organizes thematic shows and works closely with contemporary artists.
