Galerie Max Hetzler was founded in 1974 by Max Hetzler in Stuttgart and has since developed into an important international platform for contemporary art. The gallery moved to Cologne in 1983 and later to Berlin, Paris and London, where it is still active today. It represents nearly sixty renowned artists and also operates an exhibition space and artist residency in Marfa, Texas.
The gallery has a long history of collaboration with influential artists such as Albert Oehlen, Günther Förg and Martin Kippenberger and is continuously committed to the legacy of several estates. Through site expansions and new exhibition projects, Galerie Max Hetzler is committed to promoting and presenting innovative and forward-thinking art worldwide.
