The Giacometti Institute is a cultural institution dedicated to the Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti. It is located in Paris, in the 14th arrondissement, where Giacometti was active throughout his career. The institute is housed in a listed heritage Art Deco building that was once the workshop of the artist and interior designer Paul Follot.
The institution not only offers an insight into Giacometti’s original workshop, but also regularly organizes temporary exhibitions that shed light on Giacometti’s work as well as that of his contemporaries and subsequent generations of artists. The Giacometti Institute thus functions as a research and education center and contributes significantly to the preservation and communication of Giacometti’s artistic legacy.
