Lisson Gallery

The Lisson Gallery, founded in 1967 by Nicholas Logsdail, is one of the most influential and longest-standing galleries for contemporary art worldwide. With locations in London, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Beijing, it supports the work of over 70 international artists.

The gallery played a pioneering role in launching the careers of prominent Minimalist and Conceptual artists such as Carl Andre, Donald Judd, and Sol LeWitt, and continues to collaborate with artists of that generation, including Carmen Herrera and Lee Ufan. Since 2000, the Lisson Gallery has also represented numerous leading international artists like Marina Abramović, Ai Weiwei, and Hiroshi Sugimoto, while significantly elevating the global profile of a younger generation of artists.

Aesence is an independent art and design publication dedicated to minimalist aesthetics. Founded out of a deep appreciation and fascination, Aesence strives to be an inspiring, informative and truly useful resource for its readers.
