The Museum of Contemporary Art in Lisbon, known as MAC/CCB, opened on October 27, 2023. The museum presents a selection of important works by artists with a minimalist aesthetic such as Piet Mondrian, Donald Judd and more. These works offer visitors the opportunity to take a journey through time, exploring the developments in modern art and deepening their understanding of the respective artistic contexts.
The MAC/CCB is part of the Centro Cultural de Belém and also includes the Garagem Sul architecture center. It aims to promote dialogue between the disciplines of visual arts, architecture and performing arts. This is achieved by regularly presenting temporary exhibitions. The museum thus enriches the cultural life of Lisbon and offers insights into the diverse forms of expression in contemporary art.
