Pablo’s Birthday

The gallery Pablo’s Birthday was founded in 2002 by Arne Zimmermann as a non-profit organization and became a commercial gallery in 2004. Its program is deeply rooted in the tradition of concrete and minimal abstraction, with a particular emphasis on light and materiality. The presented works are often characterized by a sculptural aesthetic, which is visible both in the staging and in the concept of the artists. Pablo’s Birthday follows the guiding principle of promoting works that are actively involved in contemporary dialogue.

The gallery regularly organizes concept-based group exhibitions in collaboration with curators, with the selection of artists covering a wide range of positions and media. Among the artists represented are renowned positions such as Frank Gerritz, Alan Uglow and Pius Fox, who enrich the gallery’s innovative and versatile program.

Aesence is an independent art and design publication dedicated to minimalist aesthetics. Founded out of a deep appreciation and fascination, Aesence strives to be an inspiring, informative and truly useful resource for its readers.
