The Josef & Anni Albers Foundation is an institution dedicated to continuing the artistic and educational legacy of Anni and Josef Albers. The Foundation arranges exhibitions, publishes books, artist residencies and conducts educational programs, all in alignment with the personal values of Josef and Anni Albers.
The Foundation’s main site, including offices, art storage, a library and artist residences, is located in Bethany, Connecticut, on 70 acres of wooded land. Architects Tim Prentice and Lo Yi Chan designed key buildings here, including the main office and various living and working spaces for artists and writers.
Visits are by appointment only to individuals, scholars, and curators for tours, study, and research.
