The Vitra Design Museum, located on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, is one of the world’s leading design museums. It is dedicated to the exploration and presentation of design by highlighting its history and contemporary developments through exhibitions, collections and research projects.
The museum’s main building was designed by architect Frank Gehry. In the Vitra Schaudepot, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, around 400 key objects from the museum’s extensive collection are on permanent display, making it one of the largest permanent exhibitions and research sites on modern furniture design.
