Wox is a minimalist chair collection designed by Ukrainian designer Pavel Vetrov for artu. artu is a label that specializes in the creation of modern and distinctive furniture for the hotel, restaurant, catering, and office segments. Every year they launch new models of chairs, tables, and sofas, paying special attention to the ergonomic features of the product as well as aesthetics.
The design of the Wox chair collection is inspired by the powerful and dynamic silhouette of a running ox. This is how the name of the collection was born: because Wox is a combination of the words Wild and Ox.
Clear and modern in their design language, the chairs of the Wox collection are practical and versatile. It consists of two chairs and one bar chair. The two chairs differ only slightly in design: the backrest is thin and delicate in one version and wider in the other, similar to the seat. The Wox Flat Chair (with its wider backrest) stands out especially for its practicality. It is a reinterpretation of the classic Wox chair (with its filigree backrest) and was specially designed for use in private living spaces.
Its reduced design as well as its stackability allow for easy and cost-effective shipping. In addition, the Wox Flat Chair focuses on easy assembly. This was deliberately designed to be simple and intuitive. Available in black or natural ash, the chairs are made of solid ash wood and are suitable for painting in various colors.
